Another day in the mountains and another day for the breakaway with Valentin Paret-Peintre taking the win, beating Ben Healy on the line in a sprint. Primoz Roglic and Florian Lipowitz finished just under two minutes down and gained time on their respective rivals, Roglic moving up a position on GC. Tadej Pogacar put a further two seconds into Vingegaard after a small sprint to the line which saw him take 5th place on the stage as well as recaliming the lead in the KOM competition.
Stage 17 was a sprint finish in which many sprinters were unable to fight for the win after being caught up behind a crash 1km from the line. Jonathan Milan was able to take the win and extend his lead in the Points classification in which his main rival is not even a sprinter.
Another trip to the mountains on stage 18 and yet another win for a breakaway rider, this time in the form of Ben O'Connor on a solo effort. Second place went to Pogacar who gained 11 seconds on Vingegaard who crossed in third. Oscar Onley also put time into his GC rival leaving only 22 seconds between them. Felix Gall was also able to move up on GC into 6th place.
Thymen Arensman won his second stage of the Tour on stage 19 but by 2 seconds over Jonas Vingeaard who was trying to attack the yellow jersey of Pogacar. The duo crossed the line together. More GC action was happening behind with Florian Lipowitz putting time into Onley and the rest of the GC riders showing why he was the best of the rest. All the sprinters finished comfortable inside the time limit.
Yet another win for the break of the day came on stage 20 with Kaden Groves taking the stage honours ahead of Frank Van Den Broek. The sprinter from Alpecin Deceuninck put in a solo effort and crossed with a gap of 54 seconds, it wasn't the most expected result but it was great to see nonetheless.
Stage 21 finally gave Visma a win at the Tour with Wout Van Aert managing to drop Tadej Pogacar in the last part of the stage. Pogacar crossed the line in fourth place but held on to his jerseys. The rest of the bunch rolled in together after the race was neitralised with 40km to go due to the rain meaning the gaps on the line did not count, only the win.
