Jay Vine took his second stage at this year's Vuelta on stage 10 as well as gaining 12 out of a possible 13 points in the KOM competition in which his lead stands at 23 points. Jonas Vingegaard regained the lead in the general classification as Torstein Traeen moved down into second. Mads Pedersen continued to lead the points classification despite not gaining any points on the stage, his teammate Julien Bernard took the maximum on offer at the intermediate sprint.

There was no stage winner on stage 11 with the race being neutralised 3km from the end due to protests. There was still change on GC with Thomas Pidcock and Joao Almeida moving up into 2nd and 3rd respectively. None of the jerseys changed hands in what was a somewhat eventful stage.

Stage 12 was another day for the break with over 40 riders making it including Mads Pedersen who took maximum points at the intermediate sprint. Marc Soler and Juan Ayuso of UAE were collecting KOM points with Jay Vine not present ensuring the jersey stayed on his shoulders. The win went to Ayuso but with a big mountain stage coming up it would have made more sense for the team to stay back and support their GC hopes. The red jersey was still on the shoulders of Vingegaard at the end of the day with the only change being Bruno Armirail moving up into 6th.

Victory number 6 for UAE Team Emirates came on stage 13 with Almeida beating Jonas Vingegaard on the line. There was lots of action in the general classification, most notably Jai Hindley moved up 4 places into 4th place, 3 minutes down on Vingegaard. Tom Pidcock lost over a minute to Almeida but remained third overall. Visma also have riders in 10th and 11th with Sepp Kuss and Matteo Jorgenson. Vingegaard moved up into second in the points classification 70 points down on Mads Pedersen.

Stage 14 was another stage for UAE with Marc Soler winning from the early breakaway. Behind Jonas Vingegaard beat Joao Almeida in the sprint between them and took 2 seconds on GC due to time bonuses. Jai Hindley and Felix Gall crossed behind them and gained time despite not moving up any places in the standings. There were no major changes in the other classifications.

A substantial break were able to go clear on stage 15 with over 40 riders finding themselves in the move, among them the leader of the points competition, Mads Pedersen, as well as the KOM leader, Jay Vine. Vine would eventually go off the front but was caught just before the line leading to a reduced sprint finish won by Mads Pedersen who extended his lead.
